From the blue colour of Nice to the green colour of ‘Vallée de la Roya’

Day Tour

My objective during this tour is to show you the striking contrast between the Côte d’Azur shoreline and the hinterland which is just an hour-drive away!  We will go from sea level to over 2,000 feet through spectacular countryside.

Along the way, we will stop at several of the most stunning viewpoints of the whole Côte d’Azur, including panoramic views over Nice, Villefranche-sur- Mer and Monaco.  I’ll point out the various towns, cities and villages you are looking at up and down the coastline, from well into the Italian border, all the way to St. Tropez and even sometimes to Corsica, 95 nautical miles away.

En route to the hinterland we will discover the Vallée de la Roya , a green valley constantly oscillating between France and Italy

We will visit  the medieval walled village of Sospel.  Sospel was an important village in WWII and is part of the famous Maginot line.

Day Tour 

‘Cuisine Niçoise’ is delicious. It is hearty and tasty. My objective during this tour is to make you taste and even better learn how to cook it yourself!

In the Old Town of Nice, we will meet your Chef who will be your cooking master.
Cooking of typical Niçois specialities like : pissaladière (onion pie), Socca (chickpea crepe), red bell peppers, ravioli, stuffed vegetables …(duration: 2h30)

We will feast on your new culinary creation all together

The French Riviera, as it is also called ,and the Italian Riviera are inseparable. All the Côte d’Azur inhabitants are used to going to Italy on a day trip for a relaxing time and a change of scenery!

Tuesdays and Saturdays : head to San Remo to enjoy its colourful market and its indoor farmer market

Visit of the lovely medieval village of Dolceacqua with its remaining Doria castle on top of the hill which has been painted by Claude Monet

Day Tour 

My objective during this tour is to make you discover the most elegant part of the Côte d’Azur which has also the richest historical heritage. Up to 1904, those 3 towns made one single city. They are still closely linked today

Do you want to play boules ?

Half-day tour (5 hours)

“Playing boules is part of Southern culture. With this half-day tour, I aim to take you on a journey to explore the 3 corniches, offering different perspectives of the Mediterranean.

We will make a stop in Eze to visit this timeless medieval village and then another stop at the Trophy of Augustus in La Turbie for a tour of this majestic Roman monument.

Later, we’ll join Michel for a game of boules and a typically Niçois aperitif!

Saint Honorat island

Visit of Cannes and Saint Honorat Island – Wine Tasting by the Monks

Half-day tour (5 hours)

Let’s meet for a visit of the lively city of Cannes: from Port Canto to the old town of Suquet, we will discover the Croisette, the Palais des Festivals, Rue d’Antibes, and Fortville Market.

Then, we’ll head back to tranquility towards Saint Honorat Island. This island is part of the Lérins Islands and has belonged to the Benedictine Monks of Lérins since the 4th century. The monks maintain the island and produce their own wine and olive oil.

The Roman era

The Trophy of Agustus and the Roman quarry

Half-day tour (4 hours)

The Romans were renowned for the construction of their roads, the famous Roman roads. The Via Julia Augusta, which connected Rome to Provence, passed through the Alpes-Maritimes, specifically through La Turbie and Nice.

I invite you to explore the history of this period through the Trophy of Augustus and to enjoy a delicious Niçois picnic in the Roman quarry with an exceptional view of Monaco.

The Remarkable gardens of Grasse and Eze

Half-day tour (8 hours)

The extraordinary gardens of the French Riviera date back to the early 19th century, created by passionate amateurs and botanist travelers. Their development has never ceased since, encouraged by the Mediterranean climate that allows a diverse range of plant species to flourish. There is now a label that lists the most beautiful gardens open to the public: THE REMARKABLE GARDENS. Visiting them offers a new way to discover the beauty and history of the Riviera!

9 am: I will pick you up at your accomodation.

Visit of the Remarkable Gardens of the MIP (International Perfume Museum of Grasse), a true conservatory of fragrance plants.

Tour of the Fragonard perfumery, passing through the old town of Grasse.

Late morning, departure for Eze. Lunch of your choice.

Visit of the medieval village of Eze and the Exotic Garden labeled ,”Remarkable garden” built at the top of a rocky peak with an extraordinary view on the Mediterranean!

End of the day around 5 pm and return to your accomodation.
